Macalania - Continued
I finally got Holy and battled Spherimorph. It was a rather boring fight, but hey. I ended up using the safe route since I didn't feel like paying attention, and got him caught in a Thunder loop and just attacked him with normal weapons and my Lightningproof Ring. Afterwards, I fought through all the story until I finally got to Seymour. Holy took care of him and Anima rather quickly. I never knew the Guado automatically died if Seymour was defeated. Luckily, Anima used Holy on Kimahri, so everything afterwards was easy pickins. Afterwards, I got the Destruction Sphere, named Shiva to Ann, and left.
Bikanel
This place was more annoying than anything. I ran through and got all the treasure, running away from every single monster battle. Home was a challenge without having done any prepwork, but I eventually made it through everything, thanks mostly to Rikku and Shooting Star. I realized when I got to the last battle that I severely needed Shadow Gems, so I had to go back and get those. I barely won the battle, but everybody worked as a team!
Airship / Bevelle
Evrae wasn't too bad. I mixed Trio and had Lulu use Fury. The battles afterwards were a bit tricky, but nothing I couldn't handle, of course! It just took a little bit of fanagling my overdrives and beating the crap out of the monsters manually. Bahamut is now Erin. Afterwards, I got stuck in Via Purifico. On Yuna's side, it was a simple matter of running around, gaining Sphere Levels, and casting Holy. I got the Lucid Ring too, which was really helpful. Isaaru's aeons were ridiculously easy. I mean, Bahamut's normal attack on Shiva did 16,000+ damage. On Tidus's side, I just swam though, Phoenix Down'd Evrae Atlanta, went on my merry way. Seymour Nautus was quite easy. I just equipped my Stoneproof ring, Evade & Counter weapon, and cast Holy until I was blue in the face.
Macalania
Honestly, I don't even pay attention anymore.
Calm Lands
I did some monster capturing and put Deathstrike on my Capture weapon, and I also trained a chocobo and did the Remiem Chocobo Race, opening up five chests for the sixty Three Stars so that I could have One MP Cost early. That was a royal pain, but it got done. Defender X was a little bit troublesome, but with a little luck, I took 'em down. My strategy basically consisted of recklessly using Holy with my brand new One MP Cost weapon. I love that particular weapon, it's [Magic +10%], [Evade & Counter], and [One MP Cost]. Beautiful.
Mount Gagazet
Biran and Yenke battle was easy, I got Ronso Rages for the hell of it. I ran through, grabbing plenty of treasure. Seymour Flux wasn't too bad, took a little fanagaling but not awful. I basically just watched his Reflect status, cured once in a while, and used Holy. I did the trials on Gagazet, and went to face Sanctuary Keeper. He was pretty easy, I equipped my normal One MP Cost weapon and cast Holy. I then captured a Mandragora and battled it repeatedly for Berserk Ward, during which time I got so many sphere levels that I got Auto-Life. Afterwards, I went onto Zanarkand.
Zanarkand
I ran through, getting treasure and maiming beasts, and did the trials. With Berserk Ward, Spectral Keeper wasn't too too bad, just glyph-hopping and Holy casting. Lady Yunalesca was harder when I actually tried than when I just recklessly fired off Holy. My strategy for her basically consisted of ensuring that I had Auto-Life on at all times and throwing off as many Holy spells as Yuna could handle. After her speech, I got on the airship.
Airship
This is the point where the challenge turned sour. I suddenly realized... holy shit, I totally forgot to talk to Wantz on Mount Gagazet.
So now I don't get any blank four slot armour. So here's what I have to do:
Farm a four-slotted Zombiestrike weapon from Sinspawn Genias. This is the only place I can get one. Jesus Christ, I'm going to hate this.
Now for armour, I can either farm a four-slotted stoneproof weapon from Sin's Fins (sucky and long per single battle) or capture an Adamantoise and farm it for an empty four-slotted armor (sucky and comparatively short per single battle.)
God, why me. Why of all things did I forget to talk to Wantz.
Kill me.
